Zaira is a Colorado native. Originally born in Chihuahua, Mexico, she and her family have called Colorado their home since 1996. While attending Metropolitan State University where she studied Political Science and Media Broadcasting, Zaira was a member of MSU’s s student run multimedia news platform, Met Media, where she won an Emmy as an
International News Anchor. Post university and after working for three years at a local animal hospital, Zaira started thinking about owning her first home when she joined Jessica Uphoff’s Team as a receptionist in 2017. Since then, she fell in love with all the intricacies of mortgage and worked her way up as a receptionist, Jr. Processor, Processor, Loan Engineer, and ultimately got her MLO license in 2022. Zaira is a dog mom to her Saint Bernard, Wendy and a loving daughter, sister, and friend. When she is not working to get first-time homebuyers their home, you can find her cheering on the Nuggets, dancing at a concert, enjoying the outdoors if it’s rainy and gloomy and filling her home with all things kooky and spooky.
